Orzel K17 Review: The Dual-Motor Fatbike Monster That Feels Like a Tank
Meet the Orzel K17 — a beast of an e-bike packing dual 1000W motors, massive 26-inch fat tires, and full suspension that feels more like a monster truck than a bike. If you’re looking for power, size, and stability, this fat tire e-bike might just blow your mind. Let’s break down everything you need to know.
First Look: Unboxing and Build
Unboxing the K17 was straightforward and uneventful. But the moment I saw those gigantic 26-inch fat tires, I knew this bike was serious. Fat tires this size combined with high speed aren’t something you see every day.
The bike is equipped with dual motors, which immediately hints at serious power. The battery is claimed to be 25Ah, though based on its casing, it looks closer to 20Ah. Still, range testing has been solid and reliable.
Suspension and Ride Quality
The suspension setup on the K17 is impressive:
The front fork is massive — almost like a motorbike’s — providing smooth absorption over bumps and rough terrain.
The rear shock features a piston-style setup, striking a nice balance between stiffness and softness.
Whether you’re hitting rough off-road trails or cruising city streets, the suspension keeps the ride comfy and controlled.
Performance and Handling
In single-motor mode, the Orzel K17 is chill and easy to manage, perfect for casual rides.
Switch to dual-motor mode, and this bike becomes a powerhouse. While not quite as torque-heavy as some other beasts like the Meelod DK300-Max, it still delivers aggressive acceleration and speed.
Top speed is advertised at 72 km/h, but realistically, you’ll notice an artificial speed limit kicking in around 45 km/h. The display shows power usage capped at about 1200 watts despite the bike’s 2000W rating. So, it’s powerful but somewhat electronically restricted.
Handling is stable thanks to the large tires and full suspension, and you get a smooth, tank-like ride that can roll over almost anything.
Display, Controls, and Design Details
The handlebar cables could be neater — cable management feels a bit messy and could be improved.
However, the display is fantastic. It shows battery percentage, voltage, real-time watt usage, and even temperature on the main screen—no digging through menus required. The settings are consolidated on one screen, which is super convenient.
Battery mounting uses a simple bracket screwed to the frame. While it feels sturdy, it doesn’t inspire the same confidence as fully integrated batteries.
Extra Features
Rear rack: Very wide and solid, great for carrying groceries, gear, or even a dog.
Weight & size: Big and bold, this bike is designed for riders who want to feel the power and ride in style.
Final Verdict: Is the Orzel K17 Worth It?
The Orzel K17 isn’t perfect — the power cap at higher speeds and cable clutter hold it back slightly. But it offers:
Dual 1000W motors for serious power
Massive 26-inch fat tires for stability and traction
Premium full suspension for comfort
One of the best fatbike displays I’ve seen
Solid build with a huge rear rack
If you want a fat tire mountain bike that feels like a tank, looks cool, and offers plenty of fun on and off-road, the Orzel K17 deserves a close look.
