The Heda TX19 Plus combines a 1,000W motor, a 48V 19.2Ah battery, 29-inch CST tires, Shimano 27-speed gearing, hydraulic disc brakes, and a lockable air suspension fork. With strong acceleration, confident handling, and an aggressive mountain-bike design, it offers plenty of performance for the price, although its display and a few finishing details could be better.

Unboxing and Assembly

The Heda TX19 Plus arrives well protected, with plenty of foam packaging to keep the components secure during shipping. Assembly takes around 20 minutes and mainly involves fitting the front wheel, pedals, and handlebars. Even if you have limited experience assembling bicycles, the process should be manageable.

The rear rack is included but needs to be installed separately, which only takes a few extra minutes. Heda also includes a small air pump that matches the front suspension fork, along with a phone holder. These are useful extras that add a little more value to the package.

Design and Build Quality

The Heda TX19 Plus has a bold, aggressive frame design that gives it a distinctly sporty appearance. Its 29-inch CST Patrol tires complement the mountain-bike styling while providing good grip and stable handling.

Most of the bike looks well finished, and the overall design makes a strong impression. However, the welds around the bottom bracket area are somewhat rough compared with the rest of the frame. This is primarily a cosmetic issue rather than a problem with how the bike performs, but it is noticeable because the other details look more polished.

The standard saddle is reasonably comfortable, although it is not particularly special. Riders who want a different level of comfort can always consider upgrading it later.

Motor Performance and Speed

One of the main attractions of the Heda TX19 Plus is its 1,000W rear hub motor, powered by a 48V electrical system. During testing, the bike reached approximately 45 km/h, making it a fast option for riders looking for more power than a typical entry-level electric mountain bike.

Power delivery is smooth and consistent. Although the bike does not have a torque sensor, the motor assistance feels controlled rather than abrupt or jerky. This makes the bike enjoyable to ride without the assistance feeling unnecessarily aggressive.

The motor also provides enough power to tackle light off-road terrain, including dirt and sandy paths. Combined with the grippy tires, it gives the TX19 Plus the versatility to handle both everyday riding and occasional off-road adventures.

Actual speed and the legality of using the motor at higher speeds depend on the bike's configuration and local regulations. Riders should check the applicable rules before using it on public roads.

Lockable Air Suspension Fork

The front suspension fork is one of the strongest features of the Heda TX19 Plus. Unlike the basic spring forks often found on budget electric bikes, this model uses a lockable air suspension fork that performed impressively during the test.

The fork moves smoothly and absorbs bumps effectively, helping the bike feel more controlled on uneven surfaces. Its performance is particularly noteworthy for a bike in this price range.

The rear suspension setup feels firmer by comparison. It can deal with larger impacts, but smaller bumps and rough patches can feel more noticeable. For general riding and occasional trails, this is not a major drawback, but riders who regularly tackle rough terrain may notice the difference.

CST Patrol Tires and Handling

The 29-inch CST Patrol tires are another highlight. They offer reassuring grip, remain relatively quiet on paved roads, and help the bike feel planted and predictable.

On gravel and light trails, the tires provide confidence without making the bike feel out of place on the road. They also cope well with dirt and sand paths when paired with the motor's power.

This combination of tire grip, front suspension, and stable handling makes the Heda TX19 Plus a versatile electric mountain bike for riders who want to mix road riding with occasional off-road routes.

Shimano 27-Speed Gearing

The bike comes equipped with Shimano 27-speed gearing, with both the front and rear derailleurs performing well during testing. Shifting was smooth, and there were no notable complaints about the gear system.

Twenty-seven gears may be more than some riders need on an electric bike with a powerful motor. However, the wide range gives you additional flexibility when tackling hills or adjusting your pedaling effort to different terrain.

For riders who enjoy changing gears and want more control over their riding, the Shimano drivetrain is a useful addition.

Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes

The Heda TX19 Plus uses Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors. Braking performance was a positive part of the test, with good lever feel, precise control, and reliable stopping power.

Hydraulic brakes are a welcome feature on a relatively fast electric mountain bike, as they offer more refined control than many basic mechanical braking systems. The Shimano setup complements the bike's motor performance and helps make riding feel more controlled.

Battery and Display

The TX19 Plus is equipped with a 48V 19.2Ah battery. The combination of battery capacity and motor power is a key part of its overall specification, although a reliable real-world range figure would require a dedicated range test under consistent conditions.

The display is less impressive. It uses a color LCD screen and provides a usable interface, but visibility becomes very poor in bright sunlight. This is the clearest example of a component that feels less carefully considered than the rest of the bike.

A brighter, easier-to-read display would improve the riding experience, especially for anyone who regularly rides outdoors in sunny conditions.

Rear Rack and Everyday Practicality

The included rear rack adds useful everyday practicality, making it suitable for carrying lighter items during commuting or general riding. It looks good and feels reasonably solid, but I would have preferred a sturdier construction for heavier loads.

For normal everyday use, it should be useful. However, I would avoid putting substantial weight on it without first checking the rack's official load rating.

The included phone holder is another practical bonus, while the supplied air pump is a thoughtful extra that matches the front fork.

What Could Be Improved?

Although the Heda TX19 Plus performs well overall, a few details could be better:

  • Display visibility: The color LCD is difficult to read in direct sunlight.

  • Rear suspension feel: The rear end feels relatively stiff over smaller bumps.

  • Rear rack strength: It is useful for everyday items, but a stronger design would be preferable for heavier loads.

  • Frame weld finish: The welds around the bottom bracket are rougher than the rest of the frame's finish.

  • Standard saddle: It is adequate but does not stand out for comfort.

These are relatively minor criticisms in the context of the bike's overall performance, but they are worth considering before buying.

Final Verdict: Is the Heda TX19 Plus Worth Buying?

The Heda TX19 Plus is an impressive electric mountain bike for its price, combining a powerful 1,000W motor with a capable lockable air suspension fork, grippy CST Patrol tires, Shimano 27-speed gearing, and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.

Its motor feels smooth and consistent, the front suspension performs particularly well, and the tires provide confidence on both paved roads and light off-road terrain. The aggressive frame design also gives it plenty of visual appeal.

The main compromises are the display's poor visibility in bright sunlight, the relatively firm rear suspension, and a few less-refined finishing details. None of these overshadow the bike's strongest qualities, although the rear rack's load rating should be checked before carrying heavier items.

If you are looking for a fast, versatile electric mountain bike with substantial motor power and a strong component package without spending a fortune, the Heda TX19 Plus is well worth considering. Just make sure its motor configuration and permitted use meet the regulations where you intend to ride.
